Gotta break apart the power structures wherever and however you can - but NOT further reify them by fighting the battles in a way that benefits the other side.

The hard right is an army of trolls leading a larger group of people who are just blindly going along with what their neighbors do.

Humans are herd animals - very predictable in large numbers. And part of the reason things keep getting worse and worse is the fact entrepreneurs like Tucker use attention of any kind to expand their reach.

So in countering his kind we have to be careful to avoid feeding his narratives. That means avoiding partisan sloganeering and cheap dunks on his followers - even if our side loves it.

If we want to fight the crazies, we need to avoid accepting the way they frame their arguments at any cost. Undermine their attempt to paint people in a broad brush. Remind folks that even though these people are loud, they still constitute a minority nationwide and don't have any viable ideas.

And always, always do what we can to tell the truth that there aren't only two sides in this fight. Only 2/3 of Americans vote. The rest are tuned out completely because they hate everything they are hearing.

That's the audience that has to be reached. With a unifying message that offers hope of a better future but doesn't sugarcoat the fact that this is an extremely diverse nation that is basically 8 or so countries mostly stitched together by a common (failing) mythos at this point.
