Ah, but what if these worldviews are *not* independent or coherent, but illusions pushed on us by people who have done well in Epoch A to justify their greed?
Take a look at some non-western literature, especially the world of "political ecology," which shows time and again that *most* people are naturally and normally in Epoch B - at least with those they are close to.
We're being told to behave in the Epoch A way by pundits relying on bad, outdated social science (mostly classical economics, political science, and sociology).
Generally speaking, that's a privileged, rich-person way of being. Everyone already - has always - relied on their community to survive.
The solution isn't to convince people to change their worldview, but to take power and wealth away from those who use it to promote their own.
